When Meaghan’s mother, Connie, first reached out to us at TuscanDream, she explained that her daughter and fiancé, David, were searching for the perfect luxury villa in Lucca for their July wedding. The couple had originally considered celebrating in New York, where they live, but soon realized that a big city wedding would feel larger and more formal than what they truly wanted. Tuscany had always held a special place in their hearts — a region where beauty, elegance, and history blend effortlessly. They dreamed of an intimate and refined wedding surrounded by close family and friends, and Tuscany, with its timeless charm, offered just that. After listening carefully to Connie’s vision of what Meaghan and David were hoping for, we showed her one of our favourite Lucca wedding villas. Only moments later, Meaghan herself called us to say she had completely fallen in love with it — and that’s when the Lucca wedding planning truly began.

 

 

Meaghan envisioned a simple yet sophisticated wedding — casual enough to feel relaxed, but still polished and formal in all the right ways. The villa’s stately façade and manicured flower-filled gardens set the perfect stage. With such a naturally enchanting backdrop, very little decoration was needed; the estate already looked as though it belonged in the pages of a fairy tale. We designed a long wooden table adorned with a custom white linen runner created especially for them. White napkins were tied with delicate pink organza ribbons and accented with sprigs of rosemary. Floral arrangements of Meaghan’s favourite peonies, in every shade imaginable, mingled with soft roses. To complete the look, pillar candles in hurricane lamps and tall candelabras glowed warmly across the table. In place of traditional name cards, Meaghan and David chose something more personal — each guest’s name engraved on a cork, adding an informal and intimate touch that everyone adored.

 

 

To frame the dining space within the vast garden, we placed clusters of wooden lanterns in different sizes, which also illuminated the pathway leading to the cake-cutting area. Later in the evening, this charming courtyard transformed into the dance floor and open bar — where guests celebrated under the Tuscan sky. And of course, Meaghan’s bridal bouquet was filled with peonies in every hue — the perfect reflection of her joyful spirit and romantic style. It was a wedding that perfectly captured what a luxury wedding in Lucca is all about: timeless elegance, authentic Tuscan beauty, and the warmth of love shared among family and friends.
