Everything happens slowly in ballooning: inflation, take off, flight and landing, so the entire adventure will take approximately four hours. We depart early in the morning (6-7 A.M.), when winds are calm and gentle. The actual flight duration can last from one hour to one and one half hours, depending upon the wind speed and direction.
The winds dictate the direction a balloon goes, but navigational changes can be executed by changing altitudes to find varying winds. Flight altitude is normally between 1,000 and 1,500 feet above ground. It is not cold in the balloon, so casual attire and a good pair of shoes are recommended; cameras are welcome as the photographs and videos are always amazing!
Hot air balloons capture your imagination and each flight is a unique and magical voyage. A must on your list of life experiences. Your pilot will inform will point out the interesting landmarks and then serve as your host for a champagne breakfast upon landing. Then the passengers will be driven back to the launch site. For safety we fly only in the calmest of conditions.
