Carolina was born and raised in Southern Tuscany. After receiving a BA in Marine Biology from the University of Rome, she moved to San Diego where she met John Lockwood, the co-founder of TuscanDream. They quickly discovered they shared many passions, and together developed their vision for creating a luxury travel company to bring the best that Tuscany has to offer to the English- speaking market.
Splitting her time between California and Italy she has dedicated her professional life to creating best experiences for her clients at TuscanDream. She travels extensively throughout Tuscany, exploring towns, meeting proprietors and local guides, and uncovering some of Italy’s best kept secrets.
Carolina loves sharing her experience and knowledge with her clients. As a result of her experienced and discerning eye, she has been able to select the most outstanding luxury villas, wedding venues, restaurants and attractions that Italy has to offer. After serving as the company’s Senior Wedding Planner for 17 years, Carolina built and mentored her own team of planners before returning to her first loves: travel, beautiful villas, and creating authentic experiences in Tuscany.
Johnny “Buc” Lockwood co-founder of TuscanDream is originally from the Northeast, and now resides in Los Angeles, the TuscanDream headquarters.
He attended Phillips Accademy in Andover, Mass, and graduated from The University of Vermont with a BA in English as a member of both the hockey and baseball teams. He finished his education at The Institute of Politics at Harvard.
Johnny Buc brings his extensive experience from working on Wall Street and in sports and entertainment to TuscanDream. He plans to launch the inaugural TuscanDream Baseball Camp for College Prospects in Tuscany in the summer of 2022. The camp works with top American college baseball coaches and former MLB players in collaboration with Club 42, a dynamic community based in Los Angeles where youth from around the world are cultivated and supported on the pathway to success through sports and other programs. A lover of sports, and driven to help others maximize their potential and achieve their goals, Buc is a co-founder of Club42.
Buc has always been tireless in his search for partnerships and collaborations with organizations that will contribute to the growth and success of TuscanDream.
Bianca was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She moved to Tuscany a few years ago to follow her passion for wine and travel. She had the opportunity to work with different Tuscan wineries, travelling the world and representing the brands. Thanks to her background in the wine and hospitality industry, she considers herself an expert in providing unique and high-end experiences. Known as a real ‘globetrotter’, she is always in search of fascinating places for photography and to enjoy special moments. Up to this date, she has visited 28 countries. She is fluent in English, French and Italian. She is highly effective in her work and focuses on always finding the best options for her clients. She makes it a point of honour to deliver an unforgettable and tailor-made experience.
Born and raised in Florence to an Italian father and American mother, Maddalena brings a beautiful blend of cultures to everything she does. She is equal parts heartfelt Italian charm and American spirit. With a background in Fashion Business from Polimoda and years of experience in creative and client-facing roles, she found her place in weddings, a world where storytelling, beauty, and connection come together.
As our Sales and Venue Specialist, Maddalena pairs her deep local knowledge with an intuitive approach, helping couples discover the perfect setting to begin their Tuscan celebration. Whether it’s a historic villa or a countryside estate, she takes joy in matching each couple with a space that truly reflects their vision.
Known for her warmth, empathy, and effortless style, Maddalena is deeply tuned in to the small details that make a wedding feel personal. She often says she is like a caffè macchiato—a little Italian, a little American, and just the right balance of boldness and softness!
Benedetta’s journey into weddings and events began in the world of fashion, where she curated bespoke experiences for luxury brands inspired by the elegance and creativity of Paris and Milan Fashion Week.
Her work has always focused on crafting tailored events and meaningful moments that clients remember forever.
Born in Umbria and shaped by over a decade of living across Italy, Benedetta found her home in Florence nearly five years ago. She is endlessly inspired by the timeless magic of Tuscany, especially the countryside that captured her heart.
With a refined eye, a heartfelt approach and attention to detail, she helps create celebrations that feel authentic, intimate, and timeless.
Raised amid the picturesque beauty of the Florentine countryside, Carlotta’s early life instilled in her a deep appreciation for tradition, natural beauty, and the art of celebration. Her academic journey began at a linguistic high school, ultimately leading to a degree in Economics from the bustling city of Milan. During these formative years, she discovered her passion for event management, with a particular love for the intricacies of wedding planning.
Her talent for connecting with clients and interpreting their visions is matched only by her meticulous attention to detail, which ensures each event is an authentic expression of her clients’ unique stories. Beyond her professional endeavors, Carlotta’s love for culinary arts adds another dimension to her event planning. She finds joy in exploring new flavors and cultivating bonds through shared meals, a passion that seamlessly aligns with her dedication to creating heartfelt and memorable experiences.
