Villa Daniela is a sumptuous sixteen bedroom air conditioned luxury Villa in Italy located only seven Kilometres from the fabulous walled city of Lucca. This historic and newly renovated 15th Century regal estate has absolutely everything one could wish for. The villa features spectacular Italian gardens, luminous and spacious rooms, marvellous frescoes, a huge professional kitchen, an elevator, a brilliant pool and a tremendous location! You can see we’re running out of superlatives and we haven’t even started to describe this sensational villa!

Like many luxury villa rentals in italy Villa Daniela has a remarkable history. Built originally in the 15th century as a summer home by a noble Lucchese family, it remained in the same family until the 19th century. At this time it was given to an order of monks left homeless when Napoleon seized all church property in the region. The monks added a secondary school that was attached to the villa. The current owners bought the property and spent the past 14 years restoring it to its original beauty, including hiring their own “Michelangelo” to restore the beautiful frescoes!

Villa Daniela, has all the modern amenities, including air conditioning and Wifi internet. It also features a beautiful heated swimming pool. Guests receive a welcome dinner, daily breakfast service, and four hours daily of maid service as part of the rental price. There is also one bedroom and bathroom accommodating people with disabilities. The villa’s charming owner lives on site in the west wing of the ground floor. She has her own private entrance and parking area. Guests have total privacy – but the owner is there to arrange any questions or arrange any special requests they might have!

Beginning in 2020 our luxury villa italy, Villa Daniela, started including daily breakfast for the villa’s guests as part of the price. In 2022 was turned in a 16 bedroom villa with 5 more bedrooms built on top of the 11 bedrooms already in place, make it one of the best luxury villa rentals italy for large groups.

GROUND FLOOR: On the ground floor there is a beautiful, spacious and bright salon with chairs, sofas and coffee tables in a charming Italian style. It is furnished with satellite television and games, and there is a door to a full equipped study (PC, printer, copier) and wireless broadband internet access. Adjoining the salon is a large painted ceiling dining room, with a table large enough to seat all guests. Also on the ground floor is a magnificent modern kitchen well-furnished and equipped to a standard which would satisfy the most exacting cook. Next to the kitchen is a laundry room, fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, iron and a half bathroom. To complete the ground floor there are two guest bathrooms with handicap accessible toilets and an elevator for the convenience of bringing luggage up and down from the bedrooms.

FIRST FLOOR: Accessible from either the elevator or the stairs. There is a hall running along the north side of the villa; across from the elevator is a bedroom with a queen sized bed and en suite bathroom with a shower. Down the hall you have four, one bedroom suites – which are identical in layout. You enter through a foyer with a full bathroom with a bathtub, and a large wardrobe with a safe. From the foyers are living rooms with a sofa bed and mini bar. In each suite there is a staircase leading to a loft bedroom which can either have a king sized bed or be divided into two twin beds. Each of these bedrooms has an armoire, a writing table, a second mini bar and a fully equipped bathroom with a shower. Continuing up the north hallway and up a short flight of stairs leads to the last bedroom suite, furnished like the previous suites, except that both bathrooms have showers. Each of these suite is elegantly furnished and decorated with individually hand-painted frescoes on the ceilings. All the rooms have their own individual thermostats to control the air conditioning or heat.

SECOND FLOOR: Accessible by either the elevator or the internal staircase. The first door to the left of the elevator leads to a bedroom, featuring a king sized bed with an en suite bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The next door leads to a brilliant suite overlooking the formal gardens. In this suite there is a formal study, a bedroom with a king sized bed, an en suite bathroom with a shower. Further down the hallway is a cozy living room, adjoining a bedroom with a king sized bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. Finally there are two bedrooms, with matrimonial beds overlooking the formal gardens, which share a large bathroom between them.

As with all formal Italian villas, the immediate area around the house has fine gravel leading to the sprawling well planned gardens. There are tables and chairs which can comfortably accommodate 40 guests under a large white canopied gazebo. A paved path or a flight of steps takes you to the walled formal gardens replete with a magnificent fountain from the 1600’s. The views from the gardens look out over the valley and over a quaint village. Adjacent to the formal gardens is the large swimming pool area, surrounded by banks of roses and jasmine, citrus and herb plants. The swimming pool can be heated if the clients wish at an additional cost. There are ample sun umbrellas and pool furniture, and this is a truly magnificent way to relax!
