CIVIL, LEGALLY BINDING CEREMONIES – Civil Wedding Ceremonies can be arranged in the beautiful main Town Halls of Tuscany, including Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Certaldo and Pienza. The Town Halls of these cities and towns are historic, palazzos with frescoes, furnished with beautiful Florentine or Sienese antiques. The mayor or vice-mayor performs the service in Italian while an interpreter translates the vows and various articles pertaining to the couple’s new married status. These ceremonies may last up to 30 minutes. Then the bride and groom and their witnesses will sign the legal documents. TuscanDream can assist you with legalities and provide you with the legal paperwork necessary for a civil celebration.
CATHOLIC WEDDINGS – Catholic Weddings can be arranged in consecrated chapels throughout the Tuscan countryside, and there are beautiful Tuscany villas and manors with parks where receptions can be held and guests may be accommodated. Catholic weddings in Italy must be performed inside a Cathedral and may not be performed outdoors.
PROTESTANT WEDDINGS – Protestant Wedding Ceremonies can be performed in Florence at St. James’ or St Mark’s, both of which are Anglican churches with English speaking priests. Couples must be already legally married and in possession of a wedding license. Sometimes, under special circumstances, Catholic Churches will allow Protestant weddings to be held in their countryside churches. There are no restrictions on Protestant ceremonies performed outdoor in gardens, villas or castles.
OTHER RELIGIOUS OR SYMBOLIC CEREMONIES – Symbolic Ceremonies or Blessings for legally married couples can take any form and the locations are limitless, such us Chapel Weddings, Italian Gardens, Parks, Medieval Castles, or Renaissance Villas.
