Tenuta la Sugheraia is a stately seven bedroom air conditioned mansion located in Maremma, south of Grosseto near the seaside town of Talamone on the coast of the Argentario.   Originally built in 1846, this luminous and comfortable 800 square meter villa is tastefully furnished with quality Tuscan antiques and has all the modern amenities including Wifi Internet.   The villa is perfect for families and groups of friends who want to be close to some of the best beaches in all of Tuscany and will delight wine connoisseurs as it is close to the famous vineyards producing the Vermentino di Capalbio and Morellino di Scansano wines.

There are lots of public places for the guests to lounge in, with a formal dining room and four living rooms.  In each of the spacious bedrooms there is a minibar, a satellite television, and the en suite bathrooms are furnished with wonderful amenities including bathrobes, luxury toiletries and hair driers.   The Villa’s owner has arranged that Guests who want to enjoy the beach can visit two exclusive beach clubs “Il Tramonto” and “Florida” each with its own beachfront bar and restaurant.

Villa Layout

Entering the villa on the Ground floor to the left there is a living room and library furnished with comfortable sofas and highlighted by a working fireplace.  This connects to a study.  There is a large well-equipped kitchen which communicates with the splendid Dining Room.  The kitchen has a five burner gas stove, an electric oven, a microwave, expresso/cappuccino coffee machine, American coffee machine and much more.    To the right of the entrance there are three bedroom suites.  The “Giallo” which has a living room and an en suite bathroom.  the “Azzura” master bedroom Suite with a matrimonial bed, and a shower and tub, and the “Rosa” suite with a matrimonial bed and an en suite bathroom with both a bathtub and shower, which has its own living room.

On the first floor there are four bedroom suites named “Viola”, “Verde”, “Azzura” and “Bianca”.   Each of these suite has a matrimonial bed and have their own en suite bathrooms with both bathtubs and showers.   The Bianca suite also features a small room known as “Pavone” (Peacock) where there is a single twin bed for a young child with its own bathroom which only has a shower..  Additionally there is a laundry room and service bathroom.


Surrounded by lush vineyards, Tenuta la Sugheraia sits on a four acre estate.  There is a solarium and swimming pool, 14.25 meters long and five meters wide, with a depth of 1.4 meters which is open from the end of May until October 4th.   The pool is surrounded by olive, pomegranate and cork trees the villa and beautiful rose gardens.
