Located in the heart of Florence, just two blocks from the River Arno is the historic Florence apartment, the super luxurious Bonnie Prince Charles Suite. This lavishly furnished two bedroom apartment belongs to the famous Corsini family – whose lineage includes many popes, and was for several years the home in exile of Prince “Bonnie” Charles who fled England disguised as an Irish maid after being roundly defeated by the Duke of Cumberland in the Battle of Culloden on 16 April 1746.
Impeccably furnished this historic apartment features beautiful museum quality paintings which are periodically lent to museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York!
Please note there is only one Bonnie Prince Charles Suite – there are no other apartments on premises.
Furnished with priceless antiques and objets d’art this magnificent apartment is on the second floor of a Renaissance era palace. Overlooking the garden the apartment has a master bedroom with a spectacular canopied bed, and gorgeous chandeliers and small en suite bath. The other bedroom has two hand carved twin beds and its own small en suite bath. There is a large living room with cable television, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a small studio for reading.
Outside is the magnificent Roman garden – lined with statues. There is also an indoor parking space for one car.
Florence – you are right in the middle of downtown!
Bonnie Prince Charles rents for 4,950 Euros per week and requires a minimal stay of one week, not necessarily from Saturday to Saturday
We do not recommend the rental of Bonnie Prince Charles Suites during the months of July and August due to Florence’s humidity in the peak summer months!
